About

Posted by JMC On December - 18 - 2008

I have been invovled in the creation of anime music videos dating back to 1996 and have been lucky to have won around 50+ awards from various conventions such as… Akon, AX, Acen, Otakon, Anime North, Nan Desu kon, and AWA. In the past I also had the pleasure of freelance for Bandai making some websites and trailers.

Over the past 5 years I have taken an absence from the AMV community…  just got too busy with work and getting married, but I am finally getting back into AMVs.

It’s wonderful to see that your posting these videos! Wonderful AMVs!
I will have to say that the “Rurouni Kenshin – Glory” AMV is still my favorite.
I still have not seen Kenshin (for no particular reason), but this track is one of the best movie scores ever and the Kenshin clips are perfect for the music!

    Hey,

just today I have been watching one of my all time fav AMV – information high. So looking up for the makers I am lucky enough to meet in time.

I have been into amv’s since the “good ol’ times” of around 2000 – please keep up your excellent work.

    Happy New 2009!

I was sorting through some old files and found one of your videos I DLed 8 years ago. I love you new site! Glad you are back on the scene and I’m looking forward seeing future releases. I’m sure I’ll enjoy them as much as I did your previous work.

Well I have an idea for a Eva video, but I am waiting to see if I should hold out for the new movies or just use the old anime… as far as Princess Mononoke I have a song I might use for it, but still two of my buddies have made favorite Mononoke videos of all time imho…

Hey, are you the guy who did the Information High video? I saw it when the dinosaurs were still using AOL and it’s still my favorite video of all time. I just picked up a 1TB external hard drive, so I was putting all my old disc information on in, and I saw all the old AMVs I got about a decade of so ago,and wanted to try to find you, and thank you for making it. It really is an amazing work of art, and I’ve never forgotten it after all these years. I don’t know if you respond to comments, but I’d like you to add me to your Facebook, MySpace, or whatever. Thanks!

Yeah it has been awhile, but I don’t know if I would say Dinosaurs… so maybe Stone Age lol! I remember hating that file back then as it was close to 70-90mb and uploading / downloading that was a massive pain. Information High was the first video I made using VCR – VCR way way back when and the version you have was the digital re-creation and some day their will be a new version on here using remastered DVD source.

Glad to see one of the old-school editors jumping back into the fray, and to see your site back up. Ever since I saw your Sleep Now video, and heard the story behind it, I’ve been a fan of yours. What do you think about how easy it is to edit, encode, and share your videos now? Rather more convenient than the old days, huh?

    Welcome back, man.

I actually find the old days easier… you have to watch your source and capture what you wanted vs ripping the entire DVD. As far as quality of course it is night and day so that is very nice. As far as sharing lol… I remember uploading my Macross Plus Information High video which would take forever!
